new brushless motors made in the USA

Has anyone heard about the "Chilly Pepper" motors sold by NSP? I saw them on NSP's site yesterday and thought - I wonder if they are made by Astroflight? Well, price is under $100, but over 80 so the Quality is probably pretty good. It's nice to be able to by Amreican-especially these days!

Donnie is the manufacturer of the Chili Pepper series of brushless motors. I have a CP-20 right now that I am testing. Check out my thread in the 3-D forum on my "Funtana Foamy" . The quality is right with Hacker Motors with very good power and efficiency too.

HAHA! John, did he let you know if he received his package? I believe you are supposed to be doing some writing, eh? What's your excuse? Research?

Steve-

Your shipment arrived nearly a week ago. Dave is impressed with how easy
it would be to assemble a "gobrushless" motor. But he has a problem finding
the time to record the process pictorially. As the clock is ticking, I'm trying
to locate someone else with appropriate talent and skill for the project and
is willing to build me a motor. Since I'm not writing I've got plenty of time
to hang out here. Now, get back to work.

Chili Pepper

I got my Chili Pepper from Radical Dave. Mated to a GWS C gearbox, It swings an 11/8.5 APCE @ 157 watts. This is with a TP 2100 3s pack. It is a well made motor and looks cool in it's red case. It's pulling 15.5 amps @ 157 watts.I'm covering my MM Flashback now. With a projected weight of 16 ozs, I expect great performance. I'm using a CC Phoenix 25.
I understand that it was developed for medical supply use. So far, I'm happy with mine.

I just ran mine up with 6.6:1 gearing turning a GWS 14x7 SF prop on 3s2p 1200 E-techs and WOW !!! I got 54 ounces ( 3 lbs .) of thrust before my prop saver started slipping on the shaft with 2 clicks of throttle left !! Motor was barely warm , but I only had it above half throttle for a few seconds before the slippage happened. Flight tests tomorrow if the wind dies down .
