Chuck,

Sorry pal.....

Should you still don't know...

EDWARDS is the TIBER CREEK HIGH SCHOOL at AVALON PARK, right across the newer AVALON LAKES subdivision. There's two ways to get there...

From SR-50 you take AVALON BLVD and go South for 4 miles. You will pass an elementry school on your Left and you will come to a couple of STOP signs and one Light. Just keep on the AVALON BLVD and you will come to TIBER CREEK on your LEFT.

The other way is coming South along ALAFAYA TRAIL. Just come ALL THE WAY until you come to the enterance of AVALON PARK and just follow the BLVD. all the way pass the Downtown area of AVALON (TOWN CENTER) and you will pass the FUTURE PUBLIX and you will come and pass two CIRCLES that separates other subdivsions until you reach TIBER CREEK.

It's a large concrete BAND PRACTICE area that looks just like a miniture Runway! It's Great!

Hope you can join us!

Actually, I feel guilty saying BLUE BLOOD since today, I took my CLAN to STONEYBROOK GOLF CLUB and had the best Brunch ever while Rob, Earl and others flew at Edwards

I had a coupon

No!!! They didn't kick me out!

Tea? One lump or two?

John V.,

That's a good one! Yes, indeed...we are still waiting.

I heard from Mark Shimei, a co-worker and a good friend (also half owner of EDGE R/C) that ASTRO BOB doesn't answer nor post in these threads, at least when someone else other than himself doesn't create the thread

Toby - The new motor looks good. I remember seeing a couple of motors like it back when people were first trying to make their own brushlesses. They were sensored and had only one disk though. I haven't seen anything like it since. It might be a good compromise betwen the torque of a heavy bell outrunner and the rpm of a regular brushless.

the coils are wrapped around steel bobins, but i think i will have to use stranded wire to reduce the eddy current (it gets a little warm). single disk motors are pretty common (in your floppy drive), but i have never seen one with 2 magnet disks like mine. (i am sure they exist though)

Mounting it in a plane is also going to be tricky.

I just started the thread on my motor here:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=227057

My motor is gonna be hard to mount also. yours will be difficult to mount, but not that difficult, i saw someone else on rcgroups did it too.

there are 12 magnet poles, with one N opposite one S (hopefully) and the coils in between.
