Batteries for GWS planes info help

Hi all,

I have a EPS 300 GWS Beaver and looking to pick up a warbird soon. Is there a lipo out there that I can use in both without burning out the motor and not needing to mod the fuse. Now will this battery work with a speed 400 Rascal too? I want to minimize the number of battery types due to cost and ease. Would the Etec 1200 2s1p work the best? Other suggestions?

Hey, for my zero and my E-Starter i use a 2 cell 1600 lipo, both have 350c motors, and i just go easy on the throttle and haven't seen any problems yet. Unfortunately this is the only info i can give you.

I've been very happy with my Thunderpower 2s 2100 lithium packs.they fit perfectly in the stock GWS battery bays and have excellant power and duration.I use them in my
P-51, Corsair, and Beaver.I also have E-Tech 2s 1200's and they work ok, but do not seem to have as much punch as the Thunderpowers.
When you go to the war birds keep in mind that you will need to move the Lithiums fwd to get your G/G right.

the tp 2100s seem to work well in the GWS planes, only problem is that you are carrying un-nessesary weight.. these packs will fly easily 20-45 minutes. An 850 pack is just about right for a 10-11 minute flight.. of course if you fly more than 10 mins

I recently got several tanic 850 packs and like them very much..

For a speed 400, you want packs that can do 10 amps, the new 8c-10c cells that are coming out should be up for that.
