I have the Orbit microlader pro.
So far I used it for NiCad only. I never used NiMh batteries
Now I have 8 cell NiMh (1100 ).

what is the fast charge rate for this pack ?
what is the slow charge for it ?
what is the discharge rate for this NiMh pack ?
and last:
In format/regenration mode in Orbit microlader pro -
does I need to enter charging or discharging values
before I connect the pack ?

Capacity of the cells is not sufficient to give the best information.
In general, for all NiMH cells, 1C fast charging and C/10 slow charging are recommended. That would be 1.1A and 110mA respectively.
Discharge rate is impossible to predict without more information about the cells, but if you are looking for a rate to use on the charger, don't! There is no need to discharge the cells.

Are these nimh's new? If so, you may want to slow charge them to set the cells up. I'd say about 1/10 C or in your case, 100 to 110 milliamps for their first charge. Also, new nimh's need about 4 to 7 cycles to get them up their rated vigor (I guess they need practice!!) As for discharge, it depends I think of their internal resistance. I know the KAN 1050 cells you can discharge at almost up to 20 amps. Compare this to Rat Shack nimh's which is useful for less than 10 amps. As for nimh's, Kan, HeCell and Sanyo are probably the best.

thanks for the swift response - my cells are KAN 1050 cells .

KAN 1050's can be charged at 2C fixed rate. On an auto-mode charger (where it figures out the charge current for itself), you'll see it go as high as 4 or 5A, but you cannot charge at this rate with a fixed-rate charger.
As stated, an initial charge of 100mA for 15 hours is recommended.
