Are these nimh's new? If so, you may want to slow charge them to set the cells up. I'd say about 1/10 C or in your case, 100 to 110 milliamps for their first charge. Also, new nimh's need about 4 to 7 cycles to get them up their rated vigor (I guess they need practice!!) As for discharge, it depends I think of their internal resistance. I know the KAN 1050 cells you can discharge at almost up to 20 amps. Compare this to Rat Shack nimh's which is useful for less than 10 amps. As for nimh's, Kan, HeCell and Sanyo are probably the best.
