RcRCM's Tomcast 2.5S is now available at Esprit Model. It's built with serious quality in mind and includes some great features like a 2.4Ghz friendly fiberglass fuselage, 2-piece wing with a serious full carbon fiber square wing joiner, and a beautiful gel-coated paint job. That spar is super tough and will handle just about anything you can throw at it. You can order the wing in one of two versions, a lighter fiberglass version, or a stronger carbon fiber version.
The Tomcat looks pretty cool and a great price too.
But "competition" is a word that implies that somewhere in the world there is actually an event where pilots might use the Tomcat in a competitive environment.
To my knowledge there aren't any thermal classes in the world where a model of this span might be used. Possibly it might be valid in F3F slope racing but I'm not jiggy with that class so not sure.
To my mind the Tomcat2.5 is a fun slope plane or possibly a fun Sunday soaring ship.
Years ago there was a thermal class at that span called Standard Class but its been dead a long time now.
Which are the events where this model might be used to compete?
