Here's my recently finished SPADy Bird. The fuse is very similar to the Hobbico Sturdy Bird II, but with Deb wings and tailfeathers. So far I've flown her on two days. You can read my flight reports here http://spadworld.net/viewtopic.php?t=9446

Who says R/C flying has to be expensive? It cna be tons of fun and still be cheap.

What are you using for the engine mount? I have been using multi-layer plywood and it works OK.

Got my hands on three sheets of Poly cutting board for free. Each is about 1 foot square. Makes great mounts just using a bandsaw carefully cuts it to the right dimensions.

Here's my no dihedral, RNAF Wing Debby with the TT Pro 46. My first.



Here's my second, I call the Victory. All 2 mil symmetrical wing, with the OS 46 LA. A real hoot to fly!

Some of my 12 years old son's SPADs. He got stuck on one design, as he had cut out several spare wings, rudders etc for fast repairs. Although it only needs a rebuild after dads crashes.
