Spad FPV
Just started dipping my toes in FPV, and needed a real FPV plane... So, when my FPV skills and equipment go to higher level, I have a plane.... It's main wing is 5' (1524mm) x 11.5 " (292.1mm) with flat bottom that is somewhat thin overall that has a lot of lift without a lot of drag. A 660 Watt 1000 kV motor with a 60A Castle ESC is turning the 12" x 6" prop. Its all spad, the two tail booms are 1/2" thin wall PVC, the electronics pod and motor mount is made of 2" square PVC banister poles from Lowes, and of course the electronics pod's cover is two 1ltr coke bottles back to back. The front bottle is easily removed to give me access to reconfigure the electronics. I'm running most of the wiring through the Pod's center support core which helps manage the wiring mess. It's a plane that is a pleasure to fly, I just grab it by a wing tip and sling it into the sky. I've flown in with 3 2200 11.1 pacs and it still does loops and rolls like sport plane.
