Instant Gratification!!
I think one of the things so addicting with spad's is the "instant gratification" you get when building them. Most cases you can build one in an evenings time, where as with a balsa building, one of those (from a kit) takes a lot longer. Here is a few links to a low wing stick plan made from foam board from Quicker

StunTac,
You can usually buy coroplast from sign making shops or from sign material suppliers. On average, I pay $6 to $10 for a 4' X 8' sheet of 4 mil coroplast and just a little more for the 2 mil sheets. A cheaper route is to use coroplast from actual signs and displays that can be found outside convenience stores and gas stations. Ask if you could have the display or sign when they are finished with it. After Elections is another time to score on some coroplast. Of course, it will have "vote for ....." on it. There is no need to cover it for fuel proofing purposes, although most people cover their spad's with sign vinyl to make them look better. If you find a sign shop near you, tell them what you are going to do with the vinyl, They will more than likely save you some scrap vinyl if you ask. Here is a link to a online coro dealer but it can be expensive buying it this way. Harbor Sales They also sell sign vinyl Hope this helps, Omaha |

I have built 2 SPADs so far, my first is a Kadet replacement, with a ST90 on it, flies great, knife edge, everything, Second was a SPAD 3D inspired by NovaBill on another forum (search "spad novabill") a hero in my book !
Out of respect for his design, I posted complete detailed plans for my version on my club's web site: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/flyinwolverines/ You have to select the "B Spad" selections on the left sidebar. My Son, the better pilot, has a ball with it, and enjoys it more than his other high performance planes: an Ultimate, an Extra 300, an F18, a Concept 30 helecopter, and a Sukhoi 31 with ST-2300. (most are on the above we site at "Models Page 3") Check the plans & tell me what you think about them. Dave |

Triple DPS
Attached are a few photos of my latest project. I started a thread on RCuniverse about it with more detail and photos. A flight report and video link can be found in the RCU thread also.
