These are the two prototypes I am working on. The profile (Flat Out Fun Fly) will be ready for flight testing first. May this week end, next at the latest. More info on my web site (Work in progress excuse the mess).

Photo of my first Gasser

I have finished the airframe for my USS (see photos)

It will be powered by a 31cc Ryobi trimmer engine converted for R/C. I plan on putting a $20 smoke system in it also. One of my friends made one for his 4*60/Thrush cropduster bash for around $20.00. It works great!!

emailbanter,
Nice job. What's the AUW ? I built one of these sometime back but never completed it.
I did make one change. I installed a foam wing versus a 2mm coro. 2mm coro is hard to come by in my part of the country.
I also thought of converting it to electric using a brushless set up with a 8 cell CBP2000 battery pack. The AUW should be in the vacinity of what the plans called for. I HOPE ???
Anyway, again A GREAT JOB on your build.

I almost finish my giant coroplast model ( 77" span).
There is a bad weather for flying, so I am busy with preparing the model for the maiden flight.
I am working on the decoration now, an today will be done.

Help!

Hello, I'm new to the forum but not extremely new to the hobby. I taught myself to fly (and crash) at the age of 13 and have been flying since.

Currently at he ripe-old age of 21, I bought an Alpha Trainer 40 and find myself wanting more, but not wanting to spend more :P

You guys really seem to know what you're doing, and I really REALLY like the price range. Also, these are by no means 'ugly'... They wouldn't be embarasing to take down to the field, and look fun to build! Some of them look better than the manufactured models!!!

Sorry, I'm just in 'awe'... My question to any of you is this: Does anyone have plans for (or a place I can go to find) a low-wing trainer spad? I would really like something I can continue training myself on *I seem to be doing ok* but not have it explode upon a not-so-shiny landing *Not that those EVER happen *

Please, lemme know!
