Worst builder on ezone G-Ride build thread

I am a terrible builder.. much better pilot however.. I thought i would document my second balsa build. And give the perspective of a terrible builder.. I built a tantrum a while back and it was horrible for me.. i couldnt get the fuse to go together right, and the wings wouldnt fit in the fuse correctly.. it flew fine, however but the build made me sick So wish me luck, I am gonna need it

SO far so good.. took me abt 2 hours to do the above.. and i sanded them like the instructions said, and i broke just one piece of balsa, so not too bad (for me)

I'm not sure what's worse - your building skills or your spelling...

Seriously though - good luck, buddy! Hope it comes out good this time!

I am jumping ahead but i noticed that there is no illustration of how to mount the axi that is reccomended for this plane.. anyone have any comments ?

Actually I am not jumping ahead, it says if your gonna use the stick adaptor locate the f2 part.. does this mean if i am gonna use the axi i dont install the f2 part ???

You should build drunk. At least that would give you an excuse

Looks like this one will spend some time in my basement for some corrective work.

Looks Good... Try to get f8 into the tail a little better if you can. The vert stab will slide down into the groove left on the rear of the fuse and then I filled with balsa filler to make it look better. Wasn't too much to fill by the time I attached the vert. stab.

Fuse looks really straight. Told you Bill's kits were great.

If you are using the AXI mount (which I know you are ) be sure to glue the stick into the "SA mount" hole instead of the GWS hole. It helps align the motor shaft with the hole in the cowl.

Your replacement canopy is supposed to leave Bill's this Friday and I will mail it straight to you when it comes in. What did you think about the tint job?

Kevin

Building Drunk

Don't take Dr. E's advice on building drunk. I tried that one time at 2 am. I ended up with a Switchback fuse totally ca ed to my hands. Broke it all to pieces getting loose. Actually it wasn't much of a loss at that point anyway. Lets just say it wasn't looking like the one pictured in the instructions. hmmmmm bad.

On the gride you do if you are mounting the AXI on the SA AXI Mount. I think the larger G480 mount have a different mount for the axi. I'd e-mail Bill and make sure.
