Switching power supply.....Wich chip DIY?
Hi !
I am looking for a neat stup-up converter that will convert 12 to 16 volts, (to use my Sheldon charger for 3S lithium packs from 12V car battery). I have a simple chargepump right now, but am looking for a neat IC based scheme. Can anyone help me out ? Best regards, Frank |

There are many to choose from. I would start with Linear Technology; they have a good range of chips and good apps data. Look at linear.com; look for power/ switching regualtors/ boost controllers/ ; look for one with the specs you need. For example, the LT1619 is easy to use. The data sheet tells how to select values. Digikey.com usually has parts.
