7C Users Manual

Was the 7C Futaba Users Manual ever published. I can't find a reference to it on the Traplet site.

It is due to be printed any day now. I took a new day job that seriously delayed its completion, but we finally got it finished back in January I think it was, so it had to go through their processing, then out to the printers. I have not heard an actual release date yet....

Shu -- the 7C isn't very old. You might be thinking of the 9C, which has been around a bit longer. The 7C released in 2004, 2 years ago. The 9C is now availble in a 'super' model, an upgraded version. The 7C remains in the same version that was initially shipped, at least as far as I know, although there may have been some minor software adjustments as there often are.

The 7C: The User's Guide book is now available! They will be shipping literally any day now, and are available from Traplet directly. You can visit the charity's website for more details at www.cwer.org (click on info, then rc support) or by reading the advance review of the book here on RCGroups!

Just a quick note, im new to the 7c, purchased for my now glider (flapperons). When on holiday a fella advised i could set brakes up using the throttle lever.
Back at the hotel without a manual i sussed out how to use the mixes and assign switches etc. What im trying to say is the manual supplied confuses me and its quicker learning from scratch the 7c rogramming is quite intuitive.

HI, Mic! Depending on the radios you are used to using, for some folks its easier to do on their own. for others, the manual is confusing and they aren't savvy enough to do it on their own, so that's why I wrote the aftermarket manual for the 7C, to help those folks....

Help with the 7C

AMCross, Getting back into electric pattern/3d. Presently have a 4 ch 'computer' Futaba with micro rx. and servos. Limited features so thinking about this 7C radio.

Will the 7C Tx work with a R124 ultra micro rx or R156 or hitech/aftermarket rx? Will the mixing functions be available?

I love the mixing features but not too happy with the weight of the R127 rx and heavy standard servos.

would love to use this tx with smaller on board electronics.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jerry

Sorry, Jerry. It's been too long. I dont remember those 2 receivers. Please post a new therad here asking or ask futaba directly. If they are futaba compatible negative shift FM receivers or Futaba Pcm1024s, they should be compatible, but I just dont know for sure.

Would this 7C be a good radio for a 14 year old with a Micro CP heli?I want to grow with it so i can use it for a long time to like when i go to a Trex sized ehli to a 30 size nitro. Would it be good? Also, Is there a mode 1 version availbe here?

Thanks

Hi All,
After my elderly Mum gave me a 7c for Christmas, I bought the Users guide, and I am sorry to report I found it a total waste of money. I am a glider pilot and for future use wanted to know how to set up a four servo wing - ailerons and flaps, with crow braking, launch flap settings etc. It has been a while, but as far as I can recall the book said something to the effect that " I don't know about gliders, so I can't write about this" As something of a writer myself, writing reviews and articles for web publishing, I would not dream of putting fingers to keyboard until I had researched all aspects of the subject - and I do not charge money for what I write. I actually found it easier to just sit down and play with the set till I could do what I wanted, this enabled me to do almost everything after about 20 minutes Now I have a model with a full house wing and am needing to know what was not in the book!

I've used one in several T-Rex 450's, an electric Raptor e620 and several airplanes. It has work flawlessly so far and has enough features to satisfy most people, but I've never flown gliders.
