You're an Alfa God, and won't need luck. Watcha using, Axi or MPJet?

Charging the last pack and trying to talk myself out of tossing this beauty up ...

All systems go

Sarge,
AXI

I flubbed on a few of the waterslides, but I can live with it...I did the " Bar " scheme. Camera battery charging as well so no pics now

Should have some vid up this evening if she lives.

pre-maiden

Got enough juice in the cam to snap a quick pic....

Didn't bother with the red band decal ,as I'll probably paint that on if she survives ..

balanced and ready to go

I hope it flies like it looks! I keep coming back to these Alfa birds. One of these days I will buy one. After you take this one up, you will have to let me know which is the easiest to fly on a 2s1p pack of 2100's... (if you have that pack).

Maiden report

In a word ...WOW!

My instant favorite of the 4 Alfa's I've flown.

This is a "must have" plane for the Alfa fan.

I went through 3 packs and I'm recharging now ...

I've recruited my reluctant videographer and we are on the way to grab some vid.

regards,

Good news indeed! I am almost at the point of ordering the Alfa FW-190. It will be my first Alfa. I want to see your video. Congrats on the maiden... and thanks for sharing the good report.

Hey, we want details on the power setup. I'm still a few months from ordering one of the Alfa planes. This is the one I will get.

Ok,
Just got back from the field...

I like this one even more now..sick plane !

Didn't get too much in the way of quality footage...

Those of you who have dragged your wives /girlfriends to the field kicking and screaming know what I mean.

She's agreed to shoot again tomorrow.

I guess I could post a small snippet.

in love,
-SF

SF, that looks awesome!! Glad she flys sweet. I was just thinking about ordering another Alpha (had the 51 and 47) and was leaning toward another 47. May go for an FW now, though.

edit: Oh yeah, I was also wondering about the power setup. My P-47 flew very well on the recommended stock setup-300 6v. I eventually upgunned her to a geared 400. Flew awesome. Think it would be the same for the FW-190??

thanks.

Looks like I'll be getting one soon.

Nice shot of the plane by the lake. Can't wait to see your video.

SF, congrats on the maiden. Folks, if he says it's his instant favorite, it must be good. Get some video up, but leave out the pick-up truck this time.

Airborne82d, what Brigade?

quick vid clip

This is all I could really get ..the rest was unbearable lens cap slapping against the camera noise and WAY out of focus shots...
More tomorrow..
Cuban,
Thanks, but that's no lake, it's the Wadmalaw sound ,part of the ICW that runs from Florida to Maine .

Sarge,
We left the truck at home

Airborne,

If you were happy with your combo in all your other Alfas,it should be right at home in the 190.

Happy flying all

SF,
The plane looks awsome and the video shows enough to me to want even more. I can tell by her speed that she's definately not the stock 300 or Mp25/25 setup. Sounds like you may have that Axi setup in her I think you mentioned when you ordered it. Looks like the P51 and F4U are in for a little hangar rash with your new found love getting all the attention. I just love those Alfa warbirds and may not be able to pass this one up, even though I prefer the American planes. Could you confirm the setup for the plane for all us high performance Alfa flyers and look forward to more video as well. Congrats and Good Luck.
HAPPY FLYING!!!
