Ok, when two carbon rods fall in love... Sorry, I could not resist *S*. I can reccommend two fine sources for CF rods. Gabe at http://www.nyblimp.com/ and the good folks at http://www.wildrc.com. I have had nothing but great experieces with both of these vendors and recommend them without hesitation.

I get my CF rod from http://www.goodwindskites.com/
They sell a name brand, Avia, and they are as good as anything I've bought elsewhere, and they are cheap. I would imagine since you're in India that you might be better off getting it from http://www.wes-technik.de/

As for sizes it depends on what you are building. I use only the three smallest sizes commonly available: .5mm(.020), .7mm or .8mm(.030), and 1mm(.040). I have found .5mm good for wings up to 12''span or so, and .7mm for spans up to 22". .3mm is also available, but it's use is limited as it gets wavy when you bend it. I used it on my latest plane for the tail surfaces but I had to "select" a section that was straight when I bent it.

I've also had good experiences with Gabe at nyblimp, WildRC and GoodWinds for rods. Most balsa distributors carry CF rods as well, so I often throw a few onto my balsa orders when I'm making a purchase there.

For really light CF tubes here in the States, Dave Lewis from HomeFly.com carries the lightest wrapped CF tubes which are wonderful. His CF solid rods are also top quality, so it's often convient to order them from him. He carries the really small sized too.
