ifo 1524 motor
I need information on the 1524 motor pinion if it can be replaced
and where can I get the parts and tools to replace it. Thanks Terry W |

I think the motor is supplied (by the manufacturer) with the pinion, hope I'm wrong but I have a nasty suspicion that buying a new motor may be the quickest/easiest/cheapest option
Maybe someone out there can supply an identical replacement, good luck!BTW, how on earth did you wreck the pinion gear?? I use a 28cm (11") prop on my 1524 with 9 cells and it's survived some pretty major impacts completely unscathed so far. |

I think Todd's Models carries replacement 1524s. I have chewed up several of the pinions in the 6:1 geared jobs using 7-8 props and have learned to use very light props. The 11.1 1524s that I use have either the ARC or the other carbon fiber prop and so far I have about 300 flights on it. I think you must use a light prop because the gears are so small and fragile.
