Y'all talking about the GWS Naro HP Plus BB Servo or the GWS Naro HP BB Servo? They're both listed at Aeromicro for $19.95.

I was talking about the GWS Park HPX-BB. $14.95 most places.

OK. I see it. Thanks. Actually the GWS Naro HP Plus BB doesn't look too bad compared to the HS-81's. I think I would use the GWS Naro HP Plus BB before I would take a chance with a HS-55, as mentioned earlier. I'll probably go with the GWS Parks.

I'll thow one more suggestion out. I'll be using the GWS Park HPX-BB. They are faster and have more torque than the HS-81 while only weighing 1 gram more.

What kind of duration are the 3S2P Tanic packs giving? I am hoping for about two 8 minute flights. Is this possiblle?

I get two six minute flights from my 3s2p 2200s (4400 total mah) and two 8 minute flights from my 3s2p 2600's (5200 total mah). This is with reasonable but not excessive throttle restraint (still perfecting that ).

Hmmm...I might try a 3S3P pack of ThunderPower 2000's. Only an oz heavier than Tanics and 800mah for $25.

Can you build packs? I'd wait till www.cheapbatterypacks.com get back in stock (this week if their prediction comes true) and build your own. The 2200's are $18.50 per cell-- so about $120 per 3s2p 2200 including wire, connector, and shrink. A touch more for the 2600 cells. That is the way I went.

Eric flew my 40 Cap this afternoon with the AXI / IRate setup. AUW ~51ozs and it flew like a sport plane. Able to hover and barely climb out of it. Didn't feel like it was 7 ozs lighter, needed power to land. The AXI is a nice setup but the Hacker seemed to do better (just remember we pushed the Hacker way past it's limit). Still very nice flyer, fits my needs as a great sport plane (at my weight).

For those receiving their kits this week - built light! Use Bill's recommendations, especially Solite. Go with light servos. With a AUW closer to Scott's (~43) I'm sure it would 3d better on the AXI setup. Enjoy them everyone...

The next big question:

Who will be the first person to post that they have received their kit?

Patiently waiting on my email from Stevens Aero that my kit is ready I've seen it fly at the Mile High Fun Fly last summer and always wanted one since.

I haven't built a .40 size balsa kit for about 2 years, sure looking forward to it!

How big of a prop do we have clearance for?

I know of a few people (and they probably know who they are) that should probably call in sick tomorrow. I have one more glut to unload then Toledo.. then back at it... hope some wood arrives soon this thing sucks down sheet wood like it's going out of style. Dave Blum had mentioned that the interlock stuf was a touch Psycotic... I am starting to agree.

KatManDEW... a 14" should be fine - 15" clears fine but you may start to get into prop strike territory if the gear flexes hard. I wanted to make certain that I could run a 12-13" prop when flying from a relatively scrubby field without getting tangled in the weeds. The more well groomed your flying site the better.
