Just got a Rayovac 9 volt NiMH battery will this work on an IFO?>

Went to frys and found it with a charger that can charge 9 volt Nicads and NiMH will this work on the ifo??? Should i remove that casing??/

For about the 15th time from the other thread, it won't work at all. The 8.4 volt NIMH Ray0vac has to high an internal resistance to work with a speed 280.

I too am interested in this..... i have a 9v (8.4?) 120 mah nicad....can you remove the casing on this?

Why wont it work at all??? Becasue the morning i flew my IFO with it and i didnt even fully charge it. It didnt do loops or anything but it flew like it has been flying on my 6 cell pack.

Since these are so cheap, you can use 2 in parallel and then get very long flights and provide the current.

You can remove the casing on a GE/Sanyo 9V NiCd battery. Inside are 6 AAAA size cylindrical cells. Just be careful not to short it out, as those little NiCd cells generate a lot of heat right now.
