Yippee!
Scratch Built Cul De Sac Flyer

Boy did I get it right this time. The plane is fantastic will turn in less than 3 feet and loop in the same space! Will fly on 1/3 throttle and is fairly fast at full throttle. Wind about 5mph and it handles it fine. My throws are maxed out and very effective. Will almost prop hang and climbouts are very steep. Haven't had this much fun in my little cul de sac in ages! AUW is 5.1oz with 2S 340HD Kokam pack and power is by GWS RXC-B motor/GB. Prop is 9 X 4.7 and specs say 1.93A 4.41oz thrust 13.9W. Wing span= 28" and wing chord is 6-1/2" Wing Loading is 4.05 oz sq. ft. Landings are floaters. ROGs in about 3 feet. If you want more details just ask!

Great pictures!! Looks like you had some fun there! (looking a little scared at the pic with the tight turn from the tree though )

Congratulations with the plane!!

Did you use standard Pico servos? Rx?
Do you have plans?
Will this become a kit?
Would this be a decent 2nd plane?
(okay, 4th plane in my case...but the rest never flew for more than than an hour combined. Hopefully, EPP should fix this problem).-

No plans as such but it's a simple build. Servos.... Picos are fine If there is enough interest I will draw up a set of plans. No to producing a kit. Actually I can publish enough measurements and info for you to build your own.

here is one of your designs modified just a little ...this is from your other cul de sac flyer thread...I used your rib print and made the wing cord six inches instead of 4 and a hardwood stick instead of the carbon fiber tube....It is since finished from this pic. and flys wonderful....just had to sneak in a pic. of my grandson as well.....Tom
