Switching power supply for BL controllers?

Hi!

Would a lab-quality switching power supply like this one;

be OK for testing BL motors?

I had read that you should avoid switching supplies on BL controllers, but I don't know if that's just for "cheap" supplies.

Thanks.

You MAY get away with it IF the output caps on the power supply can handle the spikes - only one way to find out! Why take a chance? Use a battery and be confident that you'll not smoke anything.
