Airframes Side-By-SIde

Request from QBert55CA about the size of each of the airframes. Put them side by side to give an idea.

Is there a good place to put the GPS/magnetometer on the 2014 SW?

I haven't got that far yet.. If it was me I'd say cut out that center wing holder part and flush mount the GPS there. Then put your ESC/Autopilot down in the main bay. Your RC/RX out on the boom with a PPM cable coming back in.. Then your VTX up front with the pod.

My camera is a cellular type, does not use a VTX per-say it uses a modem and a regular cell phone antenna. Ties right into the APM GCS.
Only one problem so far, It has not been delivered yet.

I'm leaning towards the Skywalker but which version, the 2013 or the 2014 model.

If I go that way, I would be looking a landing gear. Because the prop is up out of the way I would just go with a simple axle and two wheels something like the Penguin. What is the width of the SW?

I'd go with the 2013 model. The 2014 doesn't bolt on and the 3 part wing just complicated the mess. I'd have to measure the Skywalker to find out the width.

The 2013 version at FPV model looks to be held on by rubber bands or am I missing something?

All skywalkers use rubber bands to hold the wing on. Even the 2014.

What's your thoughts on using the X7 for mt project, Yes it does not have a rudder but that is because it is a wing, any other concerns...?

Thanks

The X7 takes a beating. That's for sure. I'd still be flying it had the hatch not flown off and became confetti.

Hello,

typicalaimster:
You seem to fly with all the models I'm considering to buy.

What is in your opinion the one I should absolutely get... my preference goes for the moment to the Sky Hunter 2014 or the Talon.

Also saw that RMRC presented their Anaconda... which looks real bad ass...

Just can't decide...

There is no difference between the Skyhunter 2014 and the Skyhunter from what everyone is saying. I'm personally torn between the Skyhunter and Talon. The Skyhunter is sporter and breaks down for transport.

I fully plan on getting the Anaconda!
