How do I fit a new pinion gear on the IPS motor ?
I'm looking for advice on fitting a new pinion gear on a IPS motor. Removal is easy enough, but unlike the larger motors the rotor shaft is not exposed at both ends, so my usual method of pressing in the vice wont work with this one.
A couple of idea's came to mind, 1 Drill the pinion and use a thread lock. 2 Remove the end cap, then press fit it . I be glad for any advice, Thanks Gary. |
