Question
Aleron Trainer-next step after the s.s.

I have flown the s.s. for two months with the 300c-d, 350c-d and the 400c -i motors . I would like to buy a aleron trainer . The gws E- Starter has been mentioned. the question is can the E-Starter be built with the 350 and 400 motors and with these motors does it improve the E- Starter for training, or should I look into a different trainer Thanks Dan

The eStarter comes with a 350, from what I understand. Also take a look at the new Mountain Models SmoothE. Balsa fuselage and foam wing.

I am in the same boat as you. I have flown the crap out of my Slow Stick over the last 2 months, and now it is time for something new.

Make sure you check out the S&B Komet as an option - speed 400, 8 cell 1050 Kan pack (or 600AE nicads) and these planes are unbreakable.

Dan,

You might be interested to get the Dandy Sport from Mountain Models. It's a very easy to build plane and you can later change the wings to upgrade your plane.

You can find it in: www.mountainmodels.com

Hope this helps,

Jose

Everyone should build a balsa plane at some point in their life.
Most hobbiest enjoy the experience, and and go on to build more balsa models.
If it turns out that you hate it, well, you still learned something, and now you know what to avoid. But if you enjoyed it, a huge new arena opens up for you. Hundreds, or thousands of models are now available. All you have to do is build them.

I second the suggestion to look at Mountain Models. Think Dandy, or Switchback, for your next plane. Then, Flashback or Tantrum. All without leaving Mountain Models. By then, you can fly any dang plane you want too. :-)

Brian, if you're looking for an aileron trainer that is sooooo easy to build and sooooo easy to fly (an extremely forgiving airplane with a reasonably big wing span, not as twitchy as a smaller wing span), is the Multiplex Twin Star.

PETER YOUNG, what an exellent photo!

I love my e-starter... with the stock 350c motor and 8cells its a blast. For $35 its hard to pass up.
