P-51 progress report
This is a gift from a few of the guys after I had knee surgery. I felt it was time to get this thing going after so long on the shelf and after getting inspired from Fermin last Saturday. This isnt a build thread just a daily progress report whilst I am on spring break
 I sheeted the wings with 32cnd and 64th ply a few days ago. Today I added a big 'O' bass wood leading edge that took a big chunk of the day to sand and shape  I layed in some remnant carbon cloth I had laying around to add some weight/beef to the model as well. It wont be a ultra heavy like some of the other guys have but I am hoping to get it up in the 50's or 60's. |

i love the look of these planes.... also like the hand work involved.... looks like something that can take up some of my free time...... seems like a lot of these fly out at fermin?
ive never seen one in person..... id like to get one of these.... how did you get that shell? i dont understand how they are built..... well anyway LOOKS GOOD.... im jealous!  Joe |

Its a CSD kit. Do a search and you will find a buncha' threads on them.
These are not to popular at Parker (where you seem to fly) probably why you havnt seen them. tawg |
