Boscam RX-LCD5802 Questions

Anyone familiar with this monitor? What type of antennas would be a good replacement for the default ones?

I'm looking for an AIO monitor (with built-in battery and RX). I'd appreciate it if someone could recommend a good buy.

Thanks.

I run this monitor and find it great I fly a Quad, and it is important what you fly for aerial selection, my vehicle is always in front of me and the monitor so I have a Panel antennae on one channel and a Boscam circular cloud on the other.

My TX is Boscam and has a circular cloud on that, I have had it out to 1200 meters without loss.

You can see the antennae swapping as it finds the best signal.

Bumping because I'm ordering this monitor today. $150 from banggood.com. Anyone order from them?

David - 1200m is good range. Which tx and antennas do you have? Any links?

I'm considering the Boscam TS352 500mw tx or the Immersion 600mw.

Thanks!

This is a good screen but has some serious issues with Fatshark frequency.

When I connect it to my immersion RC tx, there is a lot of disturbance on the screen and it does not display the image properly. This happens only with Band C channels. The same video tx works perfectly with my other receiver (AOMWAY) the Fatshark goggles work fine... but this monitor does not display properly on the Fatshark frequency. I have had the same issue with another video monitor from infinity-hobby.com with 32 ch inbuilt receiver.

Looks like it does not like fatshark frequency. I have even tried with RHCP Clover leaf antennas... result if the same..

Can anyone using this with immersion RC video tx confirm the problem???

Thanks.

Does anybody know what kind of antenna connectors the Boscam 5082 uses?

Unsure whether they're SMA or RP-SMA and what kind of antennas to fit.

This page on helical suggests that a male-to-male adaptor would also be needed:

I own this monitor. The antenna needs to have a small needle pin on it's connector. The LCD has a small hole on the connector.
