BluSloWing a nice and slow Fan Fold Wing
Here's what I've been working on. It's a bit larger than my previous wings. I wanted to optimize it for the DCM-189 and AAA NiMh cells.
WS: 42"
Area: ~350 sq"
Weight: 11oz
Power: DCM-189 (J250), 'C' (5.33:1), 10x4.7
Batteries: 8x720NiMh (AAA)
Basically, it takes most of a full sheet of Fan Fold. The construction method is something I've been working on perfecting for a while... You form the airfoil, and then fold over the LE to strengthen it, w/o needing a spar
The test flights of this version (there's been a few leading up to this) went very well last weekend. It just took me a while to clean up the drawings and get time to post a thread.
Here's the plans.
<edit> New zip file uploaded. Some dummy (who, me?) messed up the pdf files on the old version...
