BluSloWing a nice and slow Fan Fold Wing

Here's what I've been working on. It's a bit larger than my previous wings. I wanted to optimize it for the DCM-189 and AAA NiMh cells.

WS: 42"
Area: ~350 sq"
Weight: 11oz
Power: DCM-189 (J250), 'C' (5.33:1), 10x4.7
Batteries: 8x720NiMh (AAA)

Basically, it takes most of a full sheet of Fan Fold. The construction method is something I've been working on perfecting for a while... You form the airfoil, and then fold over the LE to strengthen it, w/o needing a spar

The test flights of this version (there's been a few leading up to this) went very well last weekend. It just took me a while to clean up the drawings and get time to post a thread.

Here's the plans.
<edit> New zip file uploaded. Some dummy (who, me?) messed up the pdf files on the old version...

Here's the belly, you can't really see the underchambered airfoil in this view, but the plans show it:

And the edge kind of shows the folding method:

Roll the airfoil, bend the flap over, and glue and tape the flaps down! It gets a little fiddly when trying to fit the nose slot perfect. Some of mine have been better than others, but I just do the best I can, then throw some ProBond in the gaps before taping, and it seems to be very strong!

Interesting idea ... might be fun to try this same idea on a straight wing. It would make a nice undercambered wing for a warbird type plane.

Very original!
