The Vaterra Twin Hammers 1/10-scale 4WD 1.9 Rock Racer has enjoyed a lot of popularity due to its unique design with a shift-on-the-fly 2-speed tranny, 4WD drivetrain, waterproof electronics, scale appearance, independent front suspension and rear solid axle. RC4WD has released an Aluminum Rear Axle Case for the Twin Hammers to further bulletproof the chassis. It has the same design as the molded plastic case that comes stock on the Twin Hammers, but offers the benefit of durable aluminum and comes in a cool-looking gunmetal anodized color. It is a direct bolt-on and should not require any hand fitting.
The trick with scale vehicles is to hide all signs that it is actually a radio controlled and sometimes the method of hiding the onboard electronics will also give your rig a new realistic accessory like with RC4WD’s Billet Aluminum Fuel Cell Radio Box. It is available either anodized in red or black, includes the mounting and assembly hardware and features realistic-looking fuel fill plate and graphics. The red Fuel Cell is shown here mounted in RC4WD's Trail Finder 2 Truck Kit.
It is all about the details and adding something like this RC4WD 1/10-scale Jerry Can to your vehicle will help bring it that much closer to a more realistic looking ride. It is resin molded and you can paint it to suit your vehicle.
