I like your L.A. Grenville but,
shouldnt the front end bow section be smashed and torn and exposed? Just like the real one from hitting a "uncharted" subsea mountain.

With the final stages of trimming completed the boat is ready for sea. If interested, see a short video of the boat on the surface and beneath the waves on The Subcommittee web site message board at (www.subcommittee.com) listed under " Launching Ways " forum.

Some sub pics

Hello all

I have been building subs for nearly 10 years now. Here are some recent pics of one of my boats the Swedish Gotland class SSK.
These boats are also featured on the Australian model submarine website "deep down".

Heaps of guys here in Australian with fantastic model subs as well.

My old 1/32nd scale type 202. I charged up the batterys and dropped it in the pool. I have to put a ballast system back in it. I'm going to use a snorkle system I think.

I would be very thankful if you could take and post some pix of how you did the servo arm and linkages arrangement for both the steering and the rear dive planes - both inside and outside the hull.

Did you make the front dive planes operational? If so, how?

I took some pics. I'll post them later.

The dive planes are fixed. Does not seem to effect the stability.

My first attempts at rc submarines.First was the converted Revell 1/72 type VIIC with homemade WTC .Second is the Dumas Akula submarine. Both are setup for dynamic diving. I am very pleased with the result.
