MS Hornet II - Why so many for sale?

Just curiuos as to why there seems to be so many Hornet IIs advertised in the for sale forums? It seems odd as they have only been released for a short amount of time. Are they not as good as advertised or is everyone trading them in for something new?

John

Who knows. By all accounts I have read they seem like fine birds.

Maybe people are going to trade for zoom400s...

I only see one. ???
Hornet II is an excellent heli, for a micro, in my opinion. I want at least one more for back-up! Just need more money for electronics.

Compared to how many are out there, there really aren't that many for sale. As this is a new model, there are always those people that have to have one, but in the end, it's not exactly what they are looking for...

It is as good as advertised, I wouldn't trade it for a Zoom 400.

Just an observation, I will be getting a CP micro in the future and I am just doing some research.

I don't know, but it's an awesome heli! I bought one of those used ones, and I couldn't be more impressed. The engineering is second to none, and it is an extremely impressive product.

I think it's a great heli, the landing gear mod alone is a great idea.

I think it is because of the hornet 11 coming out and everyone wants the newer better bird.

These posted ads were for the new Hornet II, not the older Hornet.

I wouldn't base my plans to purchase a heli solely on the fact that there are some of them for sale on the forums. People have different reasons for selling their helis, and it is not always because the heli was a bad product. I would strongly suggest reading the posts on the Hornet II itself from Hornet II owners to see what types of trouble if any they are having, or if it is all praise. Also, it helps to get an opinion from a pilot who can put the heli to the test, and not a pilot who only hovers it. I've seen both Walt Ferar and Ian Crane fly the Hornet II, and I was really impressed.

Can you elaborate on this. Have you flown both and can you list the pros and cons. I have research them both and I am leaning towards the Hornet II but have not really heard about any comparisons between the two helis.
