Assault 450 DFC Flybarless 3D Helicopter

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...de_2_RTF_.html

$285 for a RTF flybarless 450 sized heli! Wow.

Looks like a knock off BeastX controller. Carbon fiber parts, alloy head, CF Blades...

Looks a lot like the TREX 450 Plus DFC (RTF) - $460. I am sure parts are compatible too!

Thoughts on this?!

Looks really nice! It's $220 for the plug and fly version. I was going to start this thread, so I used the search function and typed assault 450. NOTHING. So all the people accusing those of not using search can stuff it! It doesn't always work. So I came to this section to start the thread and saw yours.

Anyway.... I would order one if I had the dough to spare and it was available in the USA warehouse. I already have an HK450 TT FBL kit, but it needs building, and it's TT. This one is belt drive. A BIG plus in my opinion.
What do you all make of that FBL unit? BeastX clone?

I wonder if you can use a Walkera Devo Tx with this receiver? It does look like a nice Clone.

You should be able to . Just get the plug and fly version .

shahram72 , your right . The search is iffy . Unless you type what someone else posted word for word it doesn't always work . I tried finding the hk 250 thread for a while and it never came up. I ended up searching my posts and found it lol .

I like it. Not getting it, but i might recommend it as an option for someone starting in the hobby. Then again building a kit is more fun, and can pick better components.

The full package with Tx and stuff is hard to beat price wise.

The frame is the 450 Pro style. You can even see the cutouts for the tail servo mount just like in a 450 Pro. The screws are the improved 12.9 socket screws used by VWinRC and VCTRC.

Just seen this one today.. I have been pricing out an HK 450 Pro with belt drive tail. I was going to just use my Walkera Devo 10 TX, but once everything is priced out it is more expensive than the Assault 450 DFC Flybarless 3D Helicopter with a new TX. Plus the TX that is included can be used with anything using a DSM2 RX.. I think the system looks great and cant wait till Christmas. Though I will get a better charger and a couple more batteries..

Keep em flying...

Just what I need! Very good heli and good price. Subbed

If I never flown a CCP heli, will it be hard to set up the heli if I use my own TX like 9x? Never done it before.

Yes, it will be hard. The 9X takes a bit of time to understand, but once you do it is simple and it would feel your programming options are limitless. There is plenty of help and useful tutorials online.

It looks like an "easy to go to" model. Just a lot easier to change parts, or fix, than those pesky Micros

The big question is, how does it handle compared to the blade 450s and T-rex 450s?

If you get Deviation on your Devo 10 I believe you can bind with any DSM2 reciever. Check it out. Jim
