Building and flying a Guppy....

Ok.. I am starting this thread to document a design I've been working on, through the building and flying of it.....

I start out by building the rear wing hold down tray....

Then place 4 of the rear formers on the fuse bottom former...

Then install the servo tray... note the 1/4" backings are on different sides to allow the servos to sit at different heights so as not to interfere with each other.

Now to work on the fuse sides... first I glued the fuse sides togehter as they are in two pieces.. then install the battery tray supports and hatch rail...

Now glue the LG box and forward wing hold down former to the fuse side... as well as the support block just behind the lg box..

Now I add the hatch rail to the other fuse side... (if you notice, I put it on the wrong side... I cut it off and fixed it.. )

Now work the other fuse side onto the whole assembly... starting from the front and working back... make sure to put the ply motor mount formers in there... as you work back, the fuse squares itself out nicely.

Now on the underside, attach the little piece of fuse bottom between the LG box and forward wing hold down....

And the little rails and hole where you will get in to screw the gearbox to the motor stick....
