This is interesting. Do the 6x2 fit on the BlackOut Mini H frame?

Hey mate, the Blackout mini H and mini hex are for 5" props only.

Who knows what may come in future though!

Hq6x3 prop data

Have you tested the hq6x3 prop on the mn1806 2300kv motor.
I have printed myself a 64g 240mm 6" prop fpv frame and want this thing as quick as I can get it without risking my blue series 12A esc's or motors..

I haven't tested it, but the 1806 and 2204 perform very similarly, and the 6x3 is comfortably within the 2204 range.

I would say you should be fine mate.

Good luck on the frame! Let us know how you go!

I just tested my 1806 2300KV on my bench power supply @ 12.6 and 8000maH 30C zippy 3S @12.54V

The most I could get out of my 6*3HQ prop was 11.1A.
Before purchasing blackout informed me that I would require 20A ESC for this combo.

Does this sound right?

Edit: Thinking about it the only thing it can be is voltage drop. I used 22AWG servo wire, 2 going from xt60 to each esc. It's all I had. must drop voltage enough to cause this. I'll confirm and redo wiring.

Edit: 11.5A something else is going on.
I'm testing with motor with prop about 50mm from the ground.

Yeah mate that's all mine drew too (SS2204) and don't even make the SS2204's or BS12A's break a sweat. Might be different lifting a heavy FPV quad though?

What arm is the motor mounted on there? Looks interesting

I'm ashamed to show anyone until after the maiden. I'm hoping it doesn't vibrate itself to bits.

I'm not sure that putting 6" props is going to make it easier or harder to tune given it's a 240mm frame.

Weighing in at 330g at the moment.. have to add vtx antenna and battery and we're good to go.

Will find out over easter.

1806 2300kv on 6x3 hq props

Mini 240mm frame (3 min 29 sec)

Esc's cold. Motors slightly above ambient.

I want more prop but don't think I could handle it

Nice flying mate! That thing's fairly screaming

Great to see the 1806's holding up well there with the 6x3's. You could see how they like the new 6x4.5's

What's the AUW of that machine? Is it loaded with FPV gear too? Any close up pics to have a look?

Cheers!

Thanks Soma, but the revo does the real flying.
Prototype is pretty rough.
I love hot melt glue.

Add 200g for 2200 3s it was throwing around.
I'll continue playing with this but I don't think I'm going to achieve my design goals.
1. <250mm size frame.
2. 6" props.
3. Tough.
4. Light.

I'm going to pm you a few questions about how it handled. Learning allot doing this and loving it.

Orange Rx module

Hey there. Very cool flying machine, its definitely no slouch in the air!!
I have a question about the module on top. It LOOKS like a FCM, but the photo gets blurry when I zoom in. I didnt know ORX made a multirotor FCM. I mean, it almost looks like 8 motor outputs on the one edge, and a row of single pins like the KK mini uses for inputs. I wouldnt be surprised if they finally came out with one, I have the T6, and use a 615x, in the CPPM mode with a kk 2.1.5. A great way to dump a lot of excess cables. Also, do you know why the T motors only get rated at 2 or 3S, when other motor makers rat their 1806's up to 4S? Thanks.
