My RJ-75, aka Canadair Regional Jet!
Hey guys. I've been working on this design for about 8 weeks, so I thought I'd start a thread on her progress. I began the build on Friday eve, Feb 20th.
I'm not sure how much time I can dedicate to the thread, as I have lots to do in the next 2 months. First let me say when we reach the AUW, I will be able to determine whether or not the 2 EDF-75's will be able to push her. I'm confident in achieving a max AUW of 32 to 34oz. With 2 GWS EDf-75's blowing 11oz each, We should be OK. Worst case, Brushless
Plane Name: RJ-75 (Regional Jet, for EDF-75's)
Wing Span: 46.25", Wing Area: 528" sq
Overall Length: 64.63, Fuse Diameter: 5.63
Power System: (2) GWS EDF-75's, 22.5oz thrust
ESC, Great Planes Electrifly C-30
The rest is T.B.D. Battery choice depends on CG. This is a preliminary Alpha build, and at this point, anything goes!
First pic, laser cut parts.......
