I'm new to this messaging stuff. Hope I'm doing it right. I have a question I hope someone can help me with. When measuring amp draw the prop is in a static state. Current is high. When the plane is moving, the prop is unloaded and current is low. Static on mine is around 9 amps. Calculated draw after a flight is around 3 amps. Calculated using time in flight and amps put back into the battery. The charts I see posted give high amp ratings. Is the posted amps the Static amps?

I havn`t noticed him before as i usually just look at the bigger pics of 2+megs and this particular 2 were further reduced of original 0,4 meg pics taken from a friend.

Is it possible to run two brushless motors off one BL contoler?? I haven't tried it yet.

Sometimes yes but usually no.
There are occasional reports of 2 BL motors working on 1 controller (parallel) but usually the reports are negative. Most common are starting issues (one does, one doesn't).
Better to configure 1 motor with 1 controller x2 and connect to the rx with a Y cable - BUT remember to disable one or both BEC circuits if the controllers have them (remove the controller's red wire from the connector at the Y cable). You do not want 2 BEC's trying to power the system - will cause problems.
You can use 1 or 2 motor batteries. But if you use 1 battery be sure it can supply the amps for both motors without an issue.
You really want to keep the wires short as long wires cause problems for the controller and rx. Consensus seems to be that long battery wires are the worst.

yea it does, I was wondering cause Im trying to save weight(who isnt). I saw a couple of BL motors that would replace the stock motors in my superflea edf. I guess one more controler won't hurt the weight factor.

Yes I can attest that it does - and with 2 Outrunners at that. The startup works about 9/10, but works not as good with some sidewind. Does not work with different props of course. I think ESC was a MGM compro TMM and motors were two Axis, but unsure.
It is recommended to keep a little bit of throttle at all times, otherwise it can occur ocassionally to be unable to restart.

Here's a pic of this magnificent and home made model. It flies extremely well, think it was on 2*3S Lipos with power to spare (more than 200W per kg). Retract gear, home made !

I agree with Contest 2004. The two Twin Towers could not crash that way because of some ridiculous Boeing 757, very ridiculous with regard to the immense weight of the two skyscrapers.

Is there an advantage to using a 12 pole stator over a 9 pole stator? This is in a CD Rom go brushless motor. 25mm

Comments, etc.: Flies great with above setup. Fan is buried approx. 1.5" aft of wing TE with mylar ducting aft of fan to smooth flow. That alone made a big difference in resultant thrust and speed. 2"x2" cheater hole on bottom fuse cut along molded panel lines1" in front of fan lip.
Hatch secured with 3 rare earth magnets, clean and strong.
Controlled with Airtronics Stylus system,PCM rec'r 92186, Hitec HS85s x3

Oops, I forgot to mention full throtle rpm of the above mentioned setup: 5100-5200 rpm at the first 20-30 seconds, then 4900-5000 rpm for the following minutes, until the pack gets flat.

16k rpm, but unloads a LOT in flight
6-7 mins of full throttle, usually about 20 mins flight time per charge
amps, auw unknown

comments: almost unlimited vertical, VERY fast in flight, great manuverability, about 100 mph, but still good low speed handling, although acceleration is not great until i get some speed up.

several other pilots have had frights (sorry, flights ) on it, all agree that power setup is awsome...
