Dlewton sounds good, I would like to know what size prop you are using and is it an APC?

Please Help Me

Question, I have a FMS Focke Wulf 190 everytime I hit the throttle the flaps go back to there starting position and the gear gliches moving up and down when deployed?? Is there a voltage regulator or something ? Should I add a battery? It seems to be starving the system of power when the motor is engaged. I would love to run the throttle off its own segregated channel. Spectrum 7010 3300 4s battery bone stock electronics. Flew it once and had to belly land because of the gear only would deploy half way then up then down ect. Help!! Matt I have not run an external 5a BEC thats next.

External BEC and ESC wiring question?

I have a Banana Hobby F-22 Raptor and my external BEC that came with the plane fried so I am putting in a Castle Creations CC 10A BEC.
The BEC that come with the plane has 4 wires (red and black to ESC and red and black to receiver.)
What baffles me is that the Castle ESC has 5 wires (red and black to ESC and red / black and orange to receiver.)
The directions say to disconnect the red wire from the ESC to the throttle channel on the receiver when using this BEC.
Does this seem right?

Flydown, What the directions are saying is correct you do not want power coming from 2 sources. The wires in the cables are black - common, red - voltage, orange - signal. So from the ESC you only want the signal and common wires to be active and the red and common wires from the bec to provide power. The reason for the orange wire from the bec I cannot explain though but I would not fool with it. Hope this makes sense

So do I still plug the ESC to throttle and the BEC to the AUX or Batt / Bind on the receiver after removing the red power wire from the ESC?
Thanks for your help.

Flydown, yes you do no change there, you need the ESC in the throttle channel to control the motor and the aux channel will provide the power to the system

Thanks again. This evening I'll put it in. Not sure if I'll have to rebind the receiver, but I guess I will find out.

Co-axial counter rotating

I need advice regarding a two motor BL setup driving co-axial counter-rotating props.
Would especially appreciate a link to a proven system.
Thanks, Steve

Old E-Flite P-47 Repowered

I inherited an old E-Flite foamy P-47, razor back with yellow and black checkerboard tail fin and rudder. Removed stock 400 brushed motor gear drive, installed a ply box motormount and Scorpion 3008-32 with 2200mah 3S lipo. Went like a bat , but too much motor for fun scale-like flying. Installed a Thunder Tiger "10" outrunner that I had on hand. pulls 22 amps static on 9x6 APC E prop. Flies very nice now, plenty of speed, lots of vertical, consequitve loops at 1/2 throttle. Model is so light that it wants to float forever. Have to almost cut throttle to get it to touch down. Model could carry retracts with no problem. BTW, used a Great Planes heavy spinner nut to compensate for lighter weight of TT 10 vs larger heavier Scorpion 3008-32. Did the trick..

PZ T28 great combo. 2200mah 40c batteries and 11x7 prop it screams and pulls only 29 amps WOT. Cruising around just over half throttle gets you just over 9 minutes. Pushing it yields around 7 minutes. Enjoy. : )

Comments: She can move...She will cover some ground quick..hard and snappy torque on take-offs...she cuts to the left hard when you give power to get that tail up...sometimes takes a few runs to get her decently straight on the runway...lol!! difficult to land due to the high wing loading cant fly her really slow...she has to have some speed to keep her level and steady to land.

She isnt sluggish either with the 3s battery...normally start off with the 3s to get my thumbs acclimated to the controls...especially when i havent flown her in awhile...but want to get the adrenaline pumping...??? Stick a 4s in there and go hunt some sky...lol!! She is a screamer on a 4s WOW!! 650 watts on a 1.5-2lb plane (AUW with a 3000mah lipo)
