Its a tempting idea It would only spin slightly faster than the 1100's on 4S so it should work.

I was looking at the Castle Creations Multirotor ESC's the other night. 25 & 35 Amp? And 6S capable. They had firmware issues to start but I haven't checked back all year. They should have it sorted by now?

Any other lightweight 30A 5S capable ESC's?

That quad sounds great! Any pics?

Might be time to look up the Castle ESC's if you want to go 5S? 6S capable ESC's make sense with all the HV / high efficiency builds, but none are available. The CC's are the only one's I know under 40A, and 40A's get heavy like you say!

Man, that's a nice quad! Must be a blast to fly. Great size and weight. That's the zone I'm trying to aim for with a sport FPV quad.

Great to see the 10x10 alu arms as well. I'm wanting to go the same way. I've heard quite a few people ask for arms like that. They just make sense! One of the best options out there, and way too often overlooked!

I didn't know APC made the 7x5's in a CW as well? I thought they only made the 7x4's?

Very nice!

cheers Soma,its got 4-1 thrust/weight ratio..turns instantly,feels really locked in,just goes where my sticks tell it too.lol
think the 1100kv and 7-5 props are the sweet spot on 4S,everything comes down cold..

I'm still thinking about the SUNNYSKY V2814-11 700KV on 6S with 9-6 APCE on another quad...torque would be massive and efficient too..
