I'd go with the Zero, easy to fly, looks great in the air, especially if you motor her up with a brushless.

Go with the zero jeff262!

I love mine. It flys great stock with the 8.4v 730mah pack. I can only imagine what it will do with a brushless setup.

I flew my new Me-109 today for the first time and I'm very happy how it flys. Fast (40-50 mph), stable and does all the aerobatic maneuvers it should. Mega 16/15/7 and 8xKAN950 batt.

They both use the stick motor mount method. many are hopped with a brushless motor to give more speed. Many are flown without wheels to keep them light and looking nice in the air and land on grass sliding to a stop. Both can use the little GWS retracts with some work but I have seen them fold on landings about as many times as I have seen them work with beginner/intermediate pilots. I own the Me 109 and it flies great. As does my Corsair and Spitfire. My friends Zero flies great but with standard motors we prefer to use CBP 650-packs with 8 cells.

really i thought the gws retract weren't supposed to fold. but i have heard that the zero has a huge stall problem, if i did go with the zero would using a gws gyro be a good idea witrht his plane or wouldn't it help any?

The OLD zeros had probs.. but the newer ones you get now dont. Just make sure they balance. Mine flies great on stock and now razor 350 with d gearing 12x8 prop and tp2100 3 cell.. I have mine balance on the spar ! Most stable plane i own. (Gws corsair, fantastic models texan, tantrum, gws spitfire) In fact the zero was my first aileron plane. Great flier cant go wrong with it

FWIW, the blue heavy duty retracts are certifiably hardcore and don't fold -- i use them in my razor 2500a powered formosa and even in hard landings they have not folded. You just have to make sure your retract servo extends them completely; if they are partially extended they will fold and probably strip your retract servo too...

It's flat colored... and i'd go with the 109, FWIW It'll be faster than the zero, though, so if you want a floater, get the zero... the 109 moves out a bit quicker though

I agree with Mr. Lin. I have all of the GWS warbirds and they all fly very well and easy to put together. My new project is the A10 with the 300H motors.

My 2 cents worth. My GWS Bf 109 flew well straight out of the box without any reworking but my GWS Zero took me quite a long time to get it to fly well. Nowdays I think the Zero is the better flier. My GWS Spitfire has the good flying qualities of the Zero combined with the straight out of the box simplicity of the Bf109.
