The new HobbyKing Cellmeter-7 with built-in balance function really is the must-have tool for the RC Hobbyist. Not only is it capable of instantly checking the overall and individual cell voltage of Lipo/Life & Li-ion batteries (with balance plugs fitted) it can also give you an instant reading of the remaining capacity of the battery at the same time, so no guess work! The cell button allows you to balance your packs, the mode button also allows you to check highest and lowest individual cells and voltage differences between individual cells Finally, as well as the Lithium battery port, there is an additional receiver style 3-pin port for checking overall voltage on NiMH/NiCd Rx batteries.
The HobbyKing Cellmeter-7 is a simple, fast and brilliant way to check battery voltage, balance your packs and most importantly, help you determine the condition of your packs within seconds.
When installing a servo, it is vital that it is centered. This means you have to find a battery, plug in the ESC, pull out and set-up a model on your transmitter, wire it all up, etc. Well those days are over…the Turnigy Servo Centering Tool is a stand-alone unit that has a built in Li-poly battery and can handle up to four 1520us or 760us servos. You simply plug in your servo, press the power button and BAM…your servo goes to its center and is held there, allowing you to install the servo arm in its optimal position and then adjust your linkage to center everything up. The days of 30% Sub trim and uneven travel side to side are over. With its built-in USB rechargeable battery, compact size and servo versatility, there is no excuse to not build it right from the start.
|Servos compatibility||1520us or 760us selectable|
|Number of servos controlled||Up to 4|
|Battery||Internal 500ma Li-poly|
|Charging||USB (cable included)|

It is, but you can do the same with the transmitter and receiver you probably already have, or should have, as it will be used to control the model in the end. So you already have a tool to check servo position. If you want to quickly test servos, I can understand the use of a servo checker, but this tool is more limited, as you can only center the servo. And if you first center the servos with this, adjust all control rods to have 90 degree angle between control rod and servo horn, you still run the risk of having the servos in slightly different positions once you do connect your receiver and transmitter because of tolerances in the transmitter's sticks, etc. So you might end up doing the fine tuning to get 90 degree angles between control rods and servo horns again, after the first check.
It feels like calibrating an ESC's throttle range to a servo tester, and then later on having to repeat the process because the neutral position of the actual transmitter's gas stick is slightly off, or has lower or smaller range so you still end up with throttle not being fully tuned to the gas stick's range and neutral position. And having to re-calibrate throttle range of the ESC to actual gas stick again.

I saw the servo centering device. Very good price for what you get, albeit with limited functionality (center only).
Not being stocked in the HK USA website does make the delivered unit much more expensive.
my Electrodynamics EDR-203 Servo Exerciser
Has a precision "Center" as well as the ability to drive the servo.
Nice to receive the HK as a gift, but I can't see the value right now.

Hum.... it is a good idea but..... I had notice using different transmitter the center points is slightly different. Even setting all trim to 0.........
