New Product
SPIDEX MINI By Quaternium

Hello,

I have been testing this new frame from Quaternium.

Its name is Spidex mini, which is an evolution of the Spidex V2 you can see on their web site. (www.quaternium.es)

It is a clear upgrade over the previous versión, carbón arms, CNC motor mounts, new silicon dampeners for the battery-Brushless gimbal support, which result in very smooth flying for nice videos.

Here is the video I have done from some of the first days of flying with it.

Hope you like it.

SPIDEX MINI (3 min 37 sec)

Looks great! Any news on size difference between this one and the V2? Also, interested in the weight difference.

Any idea when it will be available? Price?

Please keep us posted. I've got a V2 and may add this one to the list.

Thanks,
Bear

New motors arrived today - may have overdone it a bit

new motors arrived and they look massive compared to the little DJI ones I currently have. Hope I haven't overdone things
Name: motor.jpg
Views: 320
Size: 188.8 KB
Description:

They feel very well made, have 3 ceramic bearings in them and are apparently "factory dynamically balanced".
They are the same motors used on the Skyhero X8
Going to be a pain to fit though - new mounts needed plus new props (or a spacer/adaptor) plus I gotta solder bullet connectors on them and pray they actually work with my DJI ESCs. Here's hoping....

I assume the gimbal is the exact same as the one on the V2? So I only have to buy the frame and pull the gimbal off my V2 and install on the Mini?

Looks like some improvements on the vibration dampeners (I hope). Battery tray the same size as what's on the V2?

+ 1 on the compatibility with the v2 frame, I would also like to get the frame only and fit my v2 brushless gimbal.

DJ, I must have missed it on the other thread but what are those motors you are fitting?

Of course brushless gimbal v2 is compatible, the bars mounts are 10mm instead of 8mm, but you can mount your gimbal roll motor to the frame.

The Spidex mini will be on the shop in few days, Monday probably will be there.

I am really happy with this Spidex, it is a very stable quad for great videos but also is agile enough to do fast maneuvers the limit will be your brushless gimbal settings.

Thank you for your comments

What's the largest battery to fit for long flight time?

For the price, what does Mini come with?
Thanks!

p.s. Could you ask the vendor to add "English" description for the product. And all the items included?

So, some part of this video was recorded by GoPro on board and other parts were recorded by the live FPV camera?

Great news. That's what I'm looking for a larger and more stable platform for recording video for slow movement. Could you please tell the vendor to provide more info. on the forum?
Thanks!
