OK... So the Spitfire is off-topic, but the other two are:

Herr Engineering Little Extra with a Norvel .074 RC
and
Great Planes Mini Supersportster with a Cox Baby Bee .049

Enjoy

The Little Extra is 735g without fuel.

It could be a little lighter, but I used a heavy battery pack to balance the plane. the battery pack is forward, but behind the firewall. If I had used a lighter battery with a bit of lead further forward, I could probably have taken another 10g off the plane.

It is a brilliant flyer anyway. And that is with a low-compression cylinder head adapter to mount a standard glow plug. I am sure it could be a lot better, but I am happy with what I have.

Cheers
David

Coffeine

Throughout two seasons tested this model.
The model is mounted from balsa and a plywood small amount. Racks of the chassis the coal.Wing span 990 mm. Weight 650 gramme. Motor Norvel 074. Excellent behaviour in air and simplicity of assemblage. I prepare the version for a laser cutting.

Well done, Gene. It's good to see folks keep this segment of the hobby alive. My kids didn't care to learn model building skills though my 21yr old son does enjoy flying RTF park flyers. Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to have a grandson who wants to share this stuff with me.
