HELLO all First off I am not a flyer. BUT I like that small new P 51 I guess it is what you call 1/2 class?
It has a small wing spand about a foot and half or so. IT is made of styrofoam. Small electric motor also comes with a small 2.4 speckrum radio. OK I am into RC scale ships. RC electric 1.10scale Vintage Trucks. I race in the dirt. JUST pick up the small sea hawk 1/96 scale chopper.
I fly it once it a wile. I pick it for my 1/96 DDG destroyer it works out good.
NOW you know my RC back grown.

I am looking at that P 51 and was wondering how hard would it to learn how to fly it ? . I never have flown one at all.
HOW durable is it. ? About how long of flying time do you get with one like that .? THE Battey that is in it is about an inch long a LIPO FROM WHAT i CAN TELL?
. I know very little about it OR FLYING .
BUT IT looks neat. IT is about the size of the old cox corsar that came out many years ago that you would fly with a cable from the wing.

So what can any one of you tell me about this P 51 if any ?? .
IF nothing elest it would make a neat display to with my Corsar and couple of my other 1/32 nd scale planes . Thank you for any advice.

Very neat! I find it interesting that you used flaps. How do they affect flight?

they are just strip ailerons, they are hinged so i could have flaps if i ever wanted them and i built double servo bays in each wing, but this plane really doesnt need them it has the best of both worlds, it almost floats on idle and at full tit she goes like a scolded cat!

My latest 1/2A project. It's a Scoundrel designed by Steve Adams. Built from a prototype "test" kit which will hopefully lead to these being available to everyone soon. The other test models are powered by PAW diesels and use rudder/elevator control. Mine is equipped with a Cox Surestart .049, has less dihedral, and is equipped with ailerons. Still need to finish a few minor details before flying it.

I just retired the Original (uncovered) CheapDelta...
This one is lighter, smaller, faster, and just meaner than it's older big brother.

12.5 oz as you see it...

It looks awsome, TB. A lot like a Rascal, one of my favorite planes ever!

Thanks, Jake. According to Steve, the wing was inspired by some of Scott Christensen's work, who designed the Rascals for Sig. The elliptical wing shapes were inspired from his earlier days of racing sailplanes and evidently are good at penetrating thru bumpy air.

Well that explainse a lot, because a rascal of any size is good in the wind! I lfew my 40 in winds on newyears day a couple years ago in winds sustained at over 25 gusting to 40 and it was no trouble, even on landing when I put the spoilerons up.

Another one from an old Radio Modeler plan. This time a Tracer pylon racer. PAW09 BR/R/C. Hasn't flown yet - should be fun!

Very, very slick -- that one ought to be a real humdinger. Good luck on the maiden.
