Nope just a scratch built alpha. I flew it today and it is a little underpowered so I think I will get ahold of a os 15. I started on a 10 size Hanger 9 Tango to put the little engine in tonight, we will se how it goes.

Thanks Tee Bee.

Lucky you, Jake!
Cessna is my own design, she featured earlier in this thread , when she was still shiny.
Free plans of cessna were published on the net, but that site is down now.

1/2A Sure Shark

This is my Norvel .049 powered Sure Shark, a RainDave design. Two channel only, no throttle, and more fun than is legal!

Wow! Thank you so much for the plans!

I've always wanted a giant scale, but not 3D, i've always dreamed of a super scaled out Cessna 152, about 40-50% size, but we all have to start small, dont we?

Thanks again! I cant wait to clear my bench for it!

Thanks Jupeli!
But i have to add some touch-ups.
and some notes:
tail feathers are listed in 5mm medium balsa in case you want to make (sand) scale like profile, with tapperded tickness etc, but 3mm is just ok .
I suggest tailcone .
I suggest naca 2412 or simmiliar profile ( you want be sorry) ,
plans call for clark Y, that's for e power and heavy builders, but semisymm is the right thing.

Yeah, Jake you're right. I've made little cessna at first just to test my bigger design (180+cm) and had a bunch of coxs sure layin' around. and...
And I fell in love with 1/2 planes.

I have more designs for those little planes, but have no time to prepare them for other people, nor to make planes out of it by myself.

Converted the GP Fokker DVII using an OS .10 LA. Here it is. Like it a lot.

A Mini Diamond Dust delta

Here's a scratch-built Diamond Dust scaled 70% from the 0.40-sized version. 24" wingspan , AUW 15.0 oz plus fuel. That's a TT GP-07 in the nose. This is my first 1/2A-sized project.

Power for electronics is from a 350 mAh 2-cell lipo running through an old GWS brushed speed controller. (under the hatch between the servos).

I started with 15% nitro, 18% all synthetic, since that's what I had on hand, but now have some 1/2A mix... 15% nitro, 20% oil (50/50 mix of synthetic and castor). Haven't used the "real" fuel yet.

It flies very well, but I'm looking for more speed. There's only been about 3 tanks of fuel through this engine (2 on the ground, one in the air), turning a 6 x 4 prop. I still need to finish breaking it in and then I'll try for more speed with different propping.
