That's really cool Tim. I'll be watching this closely for the maiden pics. How did you build the balsa 'sheath' for the coro? Never seen it done like that before. Any guess as to AUW?

i figure the auw will probably be about 30 ozs

here is a pic of how i did the fin. it is really strong
i can't take credit for the idea though. i think brian laird came up with it.

i am thinking about kitting this plane. so let me know what you guys think

Oh I see what you did. You just didn't sheet the balsa all the way down. *smacks forehead* I thought you had built the 'sheath' and the coro was removable for some reason.

I'm going to blame it on wierd camera angle...... yeah, that's it.

Looks like you're getting close to the maiden flight, is the wind cooperating down there?

Looks like a winner to me. Definently want to hear a flight report.

Kinda looks like a cross between a Fun-1 and a Cobra Racer.

Any idea as to what the kit cost may be?

If it performs as well as the zenith, you will have an real winner ...
Same wingspan, same airfoil, ...

Peter

Edit: typo, new pic

hey guys

thanks for all the compliments

i think if i did kit it it would be around $90.00 to $100.00. i have to see what the materials will cost me

hopefully i will get it done this weekend however "V" day is going to take up a bunch of valuable building time.

jeff... the wind is supposed to be good this weekend. we have some systems coming through. probably 10-15mph wind

the auw is 30.0 ozs which is what i was shooting for.
