New update for my HJ450 build.
Changed the landing gear for some DJI F450 ones to get the space I need for the GoPro. Using the protection case hard mounted to the bottom plate with a tripod mount for now. Maybe some sort of gimbal next.

Here you have my latest mod. I got a very bright LED lamp and put it up front of the quad. I can see it from a very far distance and it helps vith orientation. Here is a link to the LEDs
Just mounted it with a zip tie to test it but will make a better mount for it eventually It is wired to a JST plug soldered to one of the ESC soldering pads.

Hi there. I just want to say awesome build you have there. I recently just purchased a HJ450 frame off Amazon and putting together a quad. Using Pixhawk flight controller, NTM Propdrive 28-26 1200KV motors, Afro ESC 30A SimonK. I was wondering if you could post direct links to where you purchased your landing skids and mount/gimbal for your GoPro. I am definitely going for the same look you are and your progress gives me a lot of confidence on how mine will turn out. Also where did you purchase your nylon spaces from? Local hardware store or online? The prices I have seen online seem pretty steep. Again awesome build.

Thanks for your kind words.
My quad is just going through a rebuild with a new controller. I got myself a Naza M lite (just the controller, no GPS for now) and has just mounted it and done some small changes.
Will have to set it up next.
Wishing you good luck with your build. Please post up some pics of it on the way
The landing gear is genuine DJI parts and were bought from allerc.com. I have swinged the front ones out a bit to get them out of camera view, and to get space for the camera mount. Se pic.

The camera mount was bought from Banggood.com

I have ordered this mount now to try to get rid of a bit of jello on my videoes. Will report back when i have tried it on
My aluminium spacers for the front and back mounting to make the tabs stiffer I bought of ebay. Not cheap but works ok. I guess you could find them cheaper but remember they have to be 37mm long.

My new camera mount came in and is now mounted. The mount is from the Walkera QR X350 and uses anti vibration balls for jello free video. Have only tried it filming while hoovering but it looks like it works OK.
This is the link for the mount.
Have attached som pics of it.
