ZTW Spider Series Multi-rotor ESC's Now Available

Hi Everybody,
Sorry to come barging in here with some spammy sounding post, but I think alot of you guys are really going to be interested in this. I'm Tim from Quantum Hobby, and we sell ZTW ESC's (among other things ).

Anyway, ZTW has come up with a pretty nice controller just for the MR crowd called the Spider Series. SimonK, opto-coupled, no bec, 400Hz internal, accepting PWM input up to 600Hz. Not really groundbreaking as far as the feature set- but wait- check out the price! $13.5 for a 30A Opto MR controller? Basically ZTW is giving you everything you need, and nothing you don't, and passing the savings on.

Here's a link: http://www.quantumhobby.com/ZTW-Spid...-ESC-s/726.htm

Anyway, thought you guys might like to know. If this announcement post is unwanted, let me know and I'll take it down. I hate spam too, but I've been around these boards a long time, and in this case, I thought this would be news of particular interest to this forum.

-Tim

Hello,

Is boot loader enabled, so future firmware ubdates can be achieved by a USB linker?

Thanks,
J

Are they NFET or P/NFET circuits?

Do they use an external oscillator for stability?

In response to the questions in previous posts:
1) No, the boot loader is not enabled- they are non-programmable. If you like simonK, then you're good.
2) The Spider uses NFET circuit
3) Yes, they use an external oscillator, See pic- faint red circle.

Cool. Bootloader would be nice since it allows for easy updates to newer versions of SimonK firmware to address compatibility with some motors or to reverse the direction without having to swap wires (for those who solder rather than use bullet connectors)

If it had bullets soldered to the board I'd buy them.

I use the 30A version on my new 450 quad and really like them alot.
I run 3S on mine tho.
They are in the prop blast so never a cooling problem at all.
I would use them again. :-)
