BNF Bixler FPV plane with EagleTree System and Groundstation
More information about the plane can be found here : http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...242&highlight=
I have decided to sell my Bixler v1 fpv plane due to being at school most of the year. This plane has been flown under a dozen times and is in great condition. It has some signs of wear but nothing major. It is outfitted with an eagle tree system which includes the gps, barometer, data logger, OSD, and guardian stabilization system. I had it set up for return to home and it worked flawlessly. It has tower pro sg90 servos all around, an AR7000 w/ satellite receiver, seperate BEC, and a great power system. One of the best feature is the laser cut plywood pod that Rocketman1092 designed. This means the only thing you need to get in the air is to plug in your battery, and attach the pod to the rest of the plane. It also has a nice removable wing system. Very simple and convenient. There is also added carbon reinforcement along the fuselage of the aircraft.
For the FPV system it has an sn555 camera. A 1.3 ghz transmitter using a "V" antenna. I also added a filter to help reduce noise. It has always worked very well for me.
For the ground station the goggles are from the original hobby lobby pilot view FPV kit, and have been modded for use with the ski goggles. It has a 1.3 ghz patch antenna and receiver as well. The receiver has a BEC so that it can run off of a lipo battery
Battery's not included
This is available for local pickup in Glastonbury, CT, or at the NEAT fair coming up in a few weeks. I'd also be willing to drive it out and meet half-way if it isn't too far.
Asking $600. Feel free to make offers. Any reasonable offers considered!!

Nice setup! I looked at the thread describing it.
From the pictures, it looks like the battery has to be charged in the aircraft - but you say "battery not included" so is it easy to remove?
Finally, should you consider selling the pod and electronics on it, minus the aircraft? That way you can ship it. I think a Bixler 1.1 would fit the same pod though I have not checked carefully. I probably can't afford it myself, but it's a good solution for lots of people.

DA - I wrote a blog entry about why it does not make sense to bundle FPV systems with an airplane. You may decide the advice does not apply to you, but it might help you to sell faster/at a higher price.
At a minimum, it seems like the Spektrum RX should be unbundled. Second might be the ground station, since it is physically separate.
