http://www.unipros.com/cbpsite/packs...sion_id=100149 The pack I've used with success is the "8 cell Hi power Slow stick pack - Flat" part #A8CBP650FT. Should be $16.00. The standard GWS esc will be a JST connector, or choose the connector you want. A couple of things -- you might need to remove some foam to get the pack to fit properly. Be sure to check CG. Also, as with any NIMH pack, slow charge it first (1/10C or so), then charge it no more than 2C subsequently. NIMH packs also take a good 3 or so charge-discharge cycles before they achieve best performance. Good luck! |

i maidened my p51 w/ a kokam 2s 700mah with the stock 300c. balancing was no problem , but flight was somewhat interesting. the 300 motor just doesnt have enough power to do anything besides keeping it in the air. since then i have added a gws corsair to my fleet so i bought the kit with the 350 motor. i will be putting a himaxx in the corsair so i tried the 350 in the stang. what a difference!! now i can hand launch without having to acutally throw it. it also maintains about 60ft altitude on about 30% power. definitely consider a motor upgrade. having that extra power will surely put a smile on your face.

Busybee,
Thanks so much for your help..Im getting closer here. With the battery you suggest will I need to purchase another charger. here is the charger I have... Eflite DC Fast Charger for small electric aircraft. 30min time charger Charges 6/7 cell Nicd & Nimh 250-700 mah packs. I am guessing this is not good enough...can you suggest a charger that will work for the new battery? ![]() Thanks John |

Do you have any specs on that charger? Couldn't find anything on the web. Just about any charger will do for 7-8 cell nimh packs.... but if you are going to spend the money for a new charger, you might consider getting a charger that does lipolys too.
I've got two chargers, a GWS 2002 and a Hobbico MkII. They both run about $49. I use the GWS 2002 for my nimh packs, but it won't do lipoly. The Hobbico MkII I use for my lipoly packs, but I have read a couple of threads that indicate it may not be good for nimh (although that is what it is advertised for... nicad, nimh, and lithium)... I would defer to someone else on what the best charger would be. I've gone the cheap route and it has worked great for me, but I know there are better chargers out there. Anyone else want to chime in here? |

I was having somewhat the same problem, except mine would only fly about 10 yards(P51 8.4V 700mah). I was told that you need to push the battery pack as far forward as possible. Havent actually been out flying it yet, but have taxied around in the parking lot and it seems alot better.

Im going 350c with my new gws spitfire.
Will a 2s2p 1200 pack be too heavy? I think with a 9x7 or apc 9x7.5 it should give nice power and good flight times. Im wondering how well the 350c holds up to 10 min + flights with this combo. The 350c in my Estarter cooked after 15minutes air time but I was pulling too many amps with the 10x8 even tho that what mr lin puts in the box
