One of my neighbors owns a Skipper and a 182 Turbo. Best of both worlds.

Excellent! The gear kind of threw me off. Didn't remember if the original plans included folding wings. A buddy of mine built one 25 years ago and enjoyed it immensely.

That interesting. There were only 312 Beech Skippers built so he is lucky to have one.

The Skipper is his wife's aircraft. He also has one of these.

Worked on my license for several years, courtesy of USAF Aero Clubs.

Came to realized I like to WATCH airplanes, not the ground, and was bored stiff whilst flying. So, stuck with R/C and have never regretted it. Yes, I love to see full-scale airplanes fly, but you just can't appreciate how pretty they are when you're inside one.

Different strokes for different folks. If someone didn't like to fly the full-scales, then I wouldn't be able to watch them.

CD

By the way, R/C models are also "real airplanes". The only "unreal" ones are those in simulators, cartoons, and imagination. If I can touch it, it's real.

The wings come off and He has a small trailer for it. It's powered by 2 Rotex engines. He uses a large electric hand starter, but you can also use a pull cord to start the engines. It has no rudder and uses flaperons for control. I've seen him fly it several times and it is an aerobatic aircraft.

Yeah, I've seen video of one doing aerobatics, mostly low level rolls. I think "Cri Cri" was the name coined in Australia.

France actually, that is where the first one was designed and built.

There've be updates using model jet engines. Billed as the worlds smallest multi engine jet.
