Qjet Flamingo & Butterfly: A plane no one has!!
I was trying to find info on Q-jets Butterfly and flamingo.
I did a search In foamies, parkfliers and indoor all the
way from the very begining and found nothing about them.
I found two people who asked about the flamingo but
no one responded to them.
I found it interesting because they spend money to advertise
the plane in quiet flyer so they must have sold at least a few
Has anyone out there had one of these planes?

I have one.
Power is a DC1717, 11 to 1 box and an 11 x 4.7 ARC prop. 3 560mah LiPo's and light weight gear. Nelson Lite Film (SoLite).
Empty weight was 4.7oz. All up is 6.7. This is 2.5oz per sq.ft.
The DC1717 has much less power than the GWS they spec., but, is also much lighter.
Will almost hover! It is great fun, rugged, easy to build and easily can be flown inside the base lines of a little league baseball field.
About 10 mph cruise and 5 mph powered slow flight.
My favorite move is to go straight up at half throttle, just as it slows to start a stall give full up and it rotates on it's wing for a 0 foot diameter loop.
Very easy to fly.
Goldscallop are nice folks to do business with. Be sure and check out their vacuum former box kits!

I like the colors you have on it.
Does it fly inverted very well?
Dc1717...is this a GWS motor?
I am thinking that this would be a good indoor flyer.
Probably comparable to the speed of a Gws Tiger moth but more durable.

DC1717 Is a Faulhaber coreless motor. Quite a bit more expensive than GWS. Higher efficiency than a GWS though a little less power.
Since it is a polyhedral wing, sustained inverted flight is very hard.
It will fly slower than the GWS TM and maintain a tighter turn radius. 5 to 6 ft turns are easy and lose no altitude.
Durable - Just not much there to break.
Mainly it is fun.

He has no web site so you will have to email him with any
questions. He was quick in getting back to me.
Although he may have stopped production, I'm not sure.
His planes are $30 to $45.
