Here, let me post another picture, sorry if it is low quality.

I can't screw the carbon plate to the plastic motor mount because of the 3 motor wires.
Motor screwed to the three outer hole on the carbon plate, so it can't be reversed.

I see no problem in cutting the plate like you have shown, but there is room enough to let the wires go through the oval opening and into the boom

Having trouble attach the motor to the mount cause the motor wire.
Can I do the modification on the carbon motor mounting like in the picture

So the wire can be put inside the carbon boom.
Thx for the suggestion.
I just check and it better to cut that part out so the cable can go through. You can force the cable without cutting the plate but that join motor wire will break sooner or later under vibration. So best is to cut that part off it doesn't affect anything that I can see

Thanks for the reply
Let me post another pic (sorry if it is low quality) to show that I can't force the wire through the carbon plate opening

See the edge of the plate

Can not bend the wire to the bottom

it a waste to run any motor higher than 700 because it a big frame small props will have a hard time on the motor but putting bigger props on motor that wont able to swing it

the F550 yes you can going with the 9xx or 8xx kv but this thing is 680 or 690 so choose wisely guys

with the 690 you can easily swing 14" or maybe 15" i dont know about 15" but i know that 14" will do fine

You should use 2814 700kv motors.
they fit perfectly on this frame.

Just maiden 690 with:
Naza v2, sunnysky x4108s, flyfun 30, and 4s 4000.
I made mistake putting the 13' prop, the copter wobble all over the place, then stripping 2 prop. Try again with 3s, it successfully hover. Maybe tomorrow / day after tomorrow, will put the 12' prop and use the 4s. And then set the gain, cruise test, RTH test etc.
I will put the BeHolder gimbal, iOSD, and vtx later
