Hey I just got mine last week. It works really great. Although it was way tail heavy even with both of the little things all the way forward. I took one off and had to put some tape on the nose to get that perfect glide. I was doing circuits with it outside at night when the wind was calm. My wife could even do it. Pretty Fun.

Have you try just only one ballast not two? you can take one off easy.

Hey, wasnt it Matt Keenon and his brother who invented the flying wing in the photo?

Yeah I'm just using one. When I had both of them on and both of them all the way forward, it would still stall out. So I took one off and added the tape to the nose to move the CG up even more and it glides straight and true now. I took it to an indoor funfly today and nobody there had really heard of it. Everyone thought it was pretty amazing that I could walk around the gym controlling this glider thingy with touching it. I let anyone try it and a few people got the hang of it pretty fast. I can almost do it off of just my head lift, but it's a lot easier to use your hands.

Mat Keenon and his brother DID invent this thing and AFAIK had a patent on the design. I bought mine from them directly and don't remember the website. They called theirs the walk along glider. A quick websearch reveals that Wowwee has a license to the patent so that's pretty cool.

The Wowee Air Surfer was primarily invented by Tyler MacCready, son of Paul MacCready. The first ones were built in the 1970's in a hanger with scrap material from the Gossamer Condor or Albatross that Paul had designed for the human powered airplane competitions, (which they won). The Wowee version was refined and put into mass production more recenlty. Sorry for the correction but I really didn't have anything to do with this toy, or my brother, but thanks for credit. -Matt Keennon

Oops, sorry about the name mixup. You're (of course) absolutely right in that correction.
